Brutus

Brutus is a spectacular giant beefsteak tomato originating from the Czech Republic, famous for producing exceptionally large red fruits. Tomatoes commonly reach 500 g–1 kg, with carefully grown specimens capable of becoming considerably larger.

The enormous fruits can reach around 20 cm across, with dense, meaty flesh and a rich, sweet and well-balanced old-fashioned tomato flavour. Despite being prized for sheer size, Brutus is also an excellent eating tomato.

Plants are vigorous and indeterminate, requiring strong support to carry their heavy fruits. A remarkable variety for collectors and growers who enjoy the challenge of producing truly giant tomatoes without sacrificing flavour.
