Sayanogorskye (Minusinsk)

Sayanogorsk is a rare Siberian heirloom originating from Sayanogorsk, Russia, an area close to the celebrated Minusinsk tomato-growing region and known for its tradition of impressive large-fruited varieties.

It produces substantial red heart-shaped to beefsteak-style tomatoes, typically weighing 300–600 g, with exceptional fruits capable of becoming considerably larger. The flesh is dense and exceptionally meaty with very few seeds, accompanied by a rich, remarkably sweet tomato flavour.

Plants are vigorous and indeterminate with strong, thick stems, although good support is essential for the heavy fruits. A wonderful Siberian collector’s variety combining impressive size, dense flesh, sweetness and traditional Russian tomato genetics.
