Mila

Mila is a rare Russian heirloom with an exceptionally distinctive appearance. Its elegant, elongated pear or bottle-shaped fruits ripen to a brilliant tangerine-orange, with equally vibrant orange flesh inside.

Fruits generally weigh around 30–150 g and have a firm, exceptionally meaty interior with very few seeds. The flavour is rich, very sweet and fruity, sometimes described as having tropical or pineapple-like notes. Its dense texture makes Mila delicious fresh and particularly good for creating thick, beautifully coloured orange sauces.

Plants are vigorous and indeterminate, reaching around 1.5–2 m and producing abundant clusters of fruit. A gorgeous collector’s variety combining unusual shape, vivid orange colour, sweetness and excellent productivity.
