Maiden’s Tears (Momini Salzi)

Maiden’s Tears, also known as Momini Salzi, is a rare Bulgarian heirloom producing magnificent bright-red oxheart tomatoes. Fruits typically weigh 350–500 g, although exceptional specimens can exceed 1 kg.

The elongated, heart-shaped fruits have smooth red skin and exceptionally dense, meaty flesh with very few seeds. The flavour is rich, sweet and juicy with gentle acidity, making this a superb fresh-eating tomato as well as an excellent choice for sauces and cooking.

Plants are vigorous, indeterminate and mid-season, reaching around 2 m and requiring good support for their heavy fruits. A beautiful Bulgarian heirloom for collectors who appreciate giant oxhearts, meaty texture and rich sweetness
