Black Moor

Black Moor Tomato Seeds

Black Moor (Chorny Mavr / Чёрный мавр) is an unusual Russian tomato variety, prized for its beautiful dark colouring, exceptional sweetness and generous harvests. Its distinctive fruits ripen to a deep mahogany-red with rich brown tones, creating a striking contrast among more traditional tomato varieties.

The tomatoes are small, elongated and plum-shaped, typically weighing around 50 g. Their flesh is juicy, meaty and wonderfully sweet, with a rich tomato flavour. The relatively firm skin makes them excellent for fresh snacking, salads, sauces and whole-fruit preserving.

Plants are semi-determinate and mid-season, generally reaching around 1–1.5 m depending on growing conditions. They produce impressive trusses of 7–10 fruits, sometimes considerably more, offering a long and rewarding harvest.

A beautiful collector’s variety combining unusual dark fruits, delicious sweetness, attractive trusses and excellent versatility in the kitchen.
