Best Bestos

Best Bestos is a rare, high-yielding heirloom from Bulgaria, producing impressive red to deep raspberry fruits with a distinctive oval-pear shape. The tomatoes typically weigh 200–600 g, making this a particularly substantial and attractive variety.

Inside, the flesh is dense, meaty and juicy, with a rich sweetness and an intense, traditional tomato flavour. When sliced across the middle, the internal structure can form a beautiful pattern reminiscent of a rose flower. The fruits also have a firm skin that helps reduce cracking.

Plants are vigorous and indeterminate, reaching around 1.8 m and producing generously throughout the season. A wonderful Bulgarian collector’s variety combining large unusual fruits, excellent productivity and rich old-fashioned flavour.
