They were exceptionally meaty and substantial, and the plant was remarkably prolific, producing an impressive crop of large tomatoes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRather than sell these seeds as the original Alifirov’s Secret, I am offering them transparently as \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAlifirov’s Secret- Pink Selection\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. Tomato varieties that are not completely genetically stabilised can occasionally produce plants that differ from the expected type, a process known as \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003esegregation\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. A new expression can appear in colour, shape or other characteristics, and particularly interesting plants can then be selected and preserved through their seeds.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis is an \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eearly-generation selection and is not yet stabilised\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, so some variation may appear in the next generation. I am preserving it because the combination of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ehuge pink fruits, exceptionally meaty flesh and outstanding productivity\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e made this plant far too special to lose.
